About
A volunteer trail club for Iron County, Michigan.
The Iron County Trail Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our mission is to encourage recreation and tourism in Iron County, Michigan, by building and maintaining single-track trails — on public and private lands, with owner permission.
How we started
Founded in 2019, growing trail by trail.
Benjamin Garcia established the club in 2019 and serves as its founding member and president. From a single loop in the woods, the network has grown to two trail systems with paved and gravel connectors between them — built and maintained by volunteers, supported by local sponsors, and used by riders, hikers, trail runners, and snowshoers from across the area.
We build on public and private lands, always with owner permission, and we put nearly every dollar back into tools, materials, and the trails themselves.
Board of Directors
The people steering the club.
The board sets direction, makes the budget work, and shows up to work days. We are actively recruiting additional members — see the board application if you are interested.
